Heaven or Hell?

Guatemala Medical Project

The GCC is fostering a partnership between many private individuals, plus corporate sponsors, local churches, and all others who will join with us, to develop a new large new Christian Hospital Complex in Guatemala City. In addition to the Hospital, new mobile medical service units will be provided to serve throughout the rest of Guatemala. To facilitate this aspect of the project, small medical clinics will also be constructed in as many remote and far outlying areas as possible to allow the roving mobile medical teams to provide regular services to all who need them.

Many short-term medical mission trips to Guatemala are facilitated each year by local Churches thoughout the United States and abroad. They do so much good it is hard to believe. However, the need is much, much greater. This Medical Project is part of a new long-term solution that is being designed to help serve all of Guatemala, including the very poor, and those people who are located in even the most remote areas.

The Guatemala Medical Project, however, will do much more than provide medical-aid to the people of Guatemala. We want to help save their lives physically, but even more importantly, we also want to help save their lives spiritually. So, the message and hope of Jesus Christ will be continually represented and shared with all as their medical needs are served. In addition, all of the small medical clinics that are built throughout the nation will be designed to serve a dual purpose as local church buildings as part of a simultaneous national church planting initiative.

By combining the goals of a national church planting effort to coincide with the goals of a national medical-aid project, we will reach out to all of Guatemala effectively, and minister to them where they are hurting...both physically and spiritually. Training new pastors and training new physicians to serve together cooperatively in order to save a lost and dying world...that is what this project is all about. Something of this scale has never been done before, but it is possible. It is being done now! ...And, you can help!
